Back in the Netherlands

We are here once again in 'sunny' Holland, the land of tulips, wooden shoes and station bikes. Michael and I arrived two weeks ago after a detour through Hong Kong and China. Michael had to check the final stages of production on the new Cado Motus product.

The first week in Holland was the same old typical Dutch weather, cold and miserable. But this last week has been great, with chirping birdies and the sun shining until about 7pm. We only had to wear a beanie, arm warmers, cycling jersey, knee warmers and tights when we went for a ride, so we hardly had to rug up at all, it was great!!!

This weekend we travel to Berlin in Germany to skate a half marathon. In Germany they have many inline skating competitions which run in conjunction with their big marathon events, ones that many of the famous marathon runners attend. It will be our first race of the season and one with no team mates, so just a race to warm up and acclimatize. We leave tomorrow morning – Friday, as Diederik has to help set up one of the skate stalls. We don’t race however till Sunday.
