For full report go to CadoMotus blogspot. The ladies race was a complete mess, with both the A Men and Ladies A starting 1min apart. The rain that had covered most of the Netherlands during the day held off for the Mens A event in Nijkerk, despite it "raining attacks" throughout the the race. As the start went off during the podium ceremony for the Ladies, it did so without Unive/Stouwdam skaters Michael Byrne (AUS) and Frank Fiers (BEL), a 2-man attack was away by the time the first lap was completed and the 2 skaters rejoined the race.

Despite frequent attacks, many initiated by National Points and Elimination Champion Ingmar Berga, the Nijkerk course meant the pack maintained a high rolling speed and few attacks troubled the bunch - except one 3-man break that gained 300-meters on the group and remained away for 5+ laps before the 3 skaters broke apart.Teams positioned themselves for a field sprint in the final laps, and despite the Unive Team making an early surge to the front on the bell, it was Sjoerd Huisman who jumped Koen Verweij and Michael Byrne to take another sprint victory over Byrne and Roy Boeve. The third criterium in a row with the same 1,2,3 result, with the classment's 3 leaders taking the major placings.
